Favourite Coca-Cola Hellenic Product: Diet Coke

I started working for Coca-Cola Hellenic in 2014 with the highest of expectations. This was due to the excellent reputation that the company has across Northern Ireland, and the excitement of working with one of the most recognisable brands on the planet. Coca-Cola Hellenic did not disappoint with the state of the art facilities but what really struck me was the passion and friendliness of the staff.

I was immediately placed in the Sustainability team and started performing a number of business improvement projects over the first year relating to energy, microbiology and product quality.

"It’s a fantastic place to work and the people make it extra special"

Most recently I have become a team manager in the quality department, managing a team of seven, which is both challenging and rewarding. There is a high level of hard work and adaptability required however this has been rewarded with being given a lot of responsibility in a short space of time but I also feel supported by my managers and peers.

Having a background in food safety has definitely helped in this role but day to day I rely on my interpersonal, adaptability and problem solving skills. My advice for anyone starting is to be enthusiastic and be prepared to be involved in all aspects of the company because there are opportunities to work cross functionally.
