The bottling operation is a major purchaser of sugar, bottles, labels, marketing materials and services. At the same time, we play an active role in the local communities with our support and local initiatives.
The Coca-Cola HBC production plant for the island of Ireland is located at Knockmore Hill, Lisburn, Co. Antrim, and has been in operation since 2007. Prior to consolidating to one plant in 2007, there were two production plants, located on the Naas Road in Dublin and at Lambeg in Lisburn Co. Antrim.
The Knockmore Hill plant is responsible for the production and distribution of all Coca-Cola products for the island of Ireland.
Coca-Cola Hellenic Group, in partnership with The Coca-Cola Company, conducts an audit, scheduled every three years to monitor our compliance to The Guiding Principles for suppliers to The Coca-Cola Company. The audit focuses on the key areas of workplace, marketplace, community and environment. In 2009, The Knockmore Hill plant was given a ‘Green’ rating for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), with no non compliances.
Deep RiverRock Water
The Knockmore Hill plant also bottles Deep RiverRock water from its source in Tullynacross, Co Antrim.
